•  Ed Moldavsky has been with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) since 2006, bringing extensive legal and regulatory expertise to his roles. In the CPUC’s Legal Division, Ed represented the Public Advocates Office and the Safety and Enforcement Division on critical issues, including wildfire litigation and gas safety. He has also advised the CPUC's Energy Division, represented the CPUC in state and federal appellate courts, and served as an Acting Assistant General Counsel for the Rehearing Section.

  • Beyond his legal work, Ed has shared his expertise as an Adjunct Professor at UC Law San Francisco, teaching courses on client counseling and negotiation. Following his time in the Legal Division, he served as an Advisor to Commissioner Houck.

  • Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and a law degree from UC Law San Francisco.
